How to Make Simple Affirmative Sentences or Statements

Here's a simple formula for making powerful, easy to remember affirmations:

Start with "I am" and complete the statement with any of the 130 power words listed below that fit your goals. For example: "I am awesome!"

How to Make Variations of Your Affirmative Statements or Sentences

You can keep your affirmation as a simple 3-word statement, or you can add to it.

Here are some examples for expanding your affirmative statement:

  • Combine two or more of the power words 
"I am strong and mighty."

  • Add a goal for the power with a joiner like "and," "that," "so that," "to," or "when"
"I am confident that I have what it takes to succeed."
"I am calm when challenged."
  • Instead of "I am," start with another phrase such as "I choose to be"
